Easter Sunda.png

It was Easter Sunday.  I came to visit.  Alex was feeling so oppressed he told me not to come visit him but I insisted on coming.  When I arrived I walked into Alex's bedroom.  He was laying on his bed looking very depressed and paralyzed.  I knew that there was something very wrong.  He kept insisting that, "Something happened to me when Sonya yelled at me.  I felt like something came at me and lodged into me."

I told him, "We are going to church.  It's just what you need.  Come on, I will help you get ready."  Alex reluctantly got up.  He moved so slowly you'd think he was elderly.  I had to chose clothes for him because he could not make a decision about what to wear as if it were too difficult for him.

It was a very long half hour drive to Nelio's church.  Alex was very nervous about driving and would only drive when I was with him.  I noticed that his reaction times were not good.  He seemed distracted and distressed.  I was hoping that he would cheer up once he was able to praise and worship with other believers.  He could not even listen to music at home saying that the sound was too loud and it hurt his ears.  I was hoping that live singing would be different for him.

Nelio was very happy to see us when we arrived that morning.  However, the loudness of the music through the loud speakers was more than Alex could bear.  He suffered through most of the singing and during one happy joyful song I saw Alex have a fleeting second of joy appear but it quickly faded.  He sat through the sermon but the smells were bothering him so badly that as soon as the sermon was over he walked right outside and sat on a bench located near the front door.  Nelio followed us out there and saw that his cousin was in terrible shape.  I looked at Nelio with a weary and worried look as if to say, "Something is terribly wrong with your cousin."

Alex was tired, lethargic, and not feeling well.  His body was in pain, and his ears hurt.   The smells were just overwhelming.  It took all of his energy to attend church this day.  I wanted the pastor to take notice but he hadn't seen us leave.  So I went back into the church in order to get help.  The pastor saw me and asked me how Alex and I were doing.  I said that I was doing okay but, "Alex is in bad shape.  Come and see him, he's outside on the bench and he's very oppressed."

Pastor Riley was originally from Jamaica so I wondered if he had some knowledge about the demonic.  He saw how Alex looked sitting there on the bench and invited him into his office.  Nelio, Alex and I followed Pastor Riley into his office.  Alex sat down and began to tell the pastor how he was feeling when suddenly without even being provoked Alex's demon surfaced and started to cuss and say, "I hate him, I'm going to destroy him!  No one loves him!  No one cares!  I'll destroy this little Fucker!"   Of course it was the demon speaking about his intentions towards Alex.

I looked over at Nelio wondering if it frightened him to see his cousin manifest a demon.  By now I was used to seeing this happen, but I knew that Nelio had never seen anything like this before.  Nelio looked pretty shocked but just stood there watching the pastor to see what he would do.  I saw some glasses of water on the pastor's desk that I quickly moved out of the way just incase things got out of control.

Pastor Riley realized a demon was manifesting and anointed Alex's forehead with oil and began to rebuke the spirit.  He rebuked the spirit for so long that he began to sweat and get tired.  He was an older man.  Physically, I don't think he was up to it.  I saw that he was getting weary and wondered if he was going to quit.  Finally that's what he did.

He said, "Alex, let's just have something to eat.  We will keep you in prayer."  When the demon heard that he stopped manifesting and Alex was able to eat.  Nelio stood there stunned after watching the manifestations and perplexed at the response of the pastor.
